Contact UsWe understand that every veterinarian and every practice is unique. That’s why we don’t offer cookie cutter approaches to working with you or solving your problems. Our first goal is always to get to know you and to identify the issues that brought you to us. That means we invest some of our time before we ask you to sign an engagement letter. We want to be sure the services we agree on will help you reach your goals. If you need assistance in an area outside our expertise, we’ll refer you to someone who is knowledgeable and experienced in that area.
After we know more about each other, we will ask you to sign our standard engagement letter, which authorizes us to work on your behalf. That letter also explains our billing procedures so you know what to expect. If we can agree on the scope of the work to be done, we may be able to give you a fee estimate up front. However, it’s not always possible to know the exact amount and kind of work needed at the outset of every engagement. Still, we strive to keep you informed along the way so you can monitor our progress and control your fees.
Once we understand your concerns, we will ask you for background information, which may include an explanation of how you got to this point and where you would rather be instead. We may ask you for historical financial information, copies of contracts you’ve signed, descriptions of your human resource systems and processes, or a sample appointment schedule, for example. Because our services are customized to your needs, the actual process varies from client to client.
Sometimes our work together leads us to come on-site, particularly if we are assisting you with interpersonal issues among your doctors or staff, if we’re helping you negotiate a purchase, sale or merger, or if we agree that face to face communication will be most effective in dealing with your specific issues. If something else brings us to your part of the country, perhaps a conference, we will also try to stop by and say hello.
We know it is not an easy decision to seek out a consultant and ask for help. But because we’ve been working with veterinarians and their practices for decades, we can apply our knowledge and experience to keep you from learning solely by trial and error. The ultimate decisions are always yours to make, but let us help you make smart decisions, make them more quickly, and feel confident about the steps you are taking.
