Lorraine Monheiser ListLorraine Monheiser List, CPA, CVA

Lorraine brings financial and human resource expertise to the firm. After eight years as a CPA in the Tax Department of an international accounting firm, Lorraine started her own tax practice in 1983, specializing in tax and business planning for small businesses and professional practices. As her firm developed, she worked extensively with professional practices and identified the need for more specialized services for veterinarians. She sold her practice in 1998 to a regional CPA firm and co-founded Summit with Dr. Robert Froehlich, who retired in 2004. To broaden her expertise, Lorraine earned a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development in 2000 and then became accredited in business valuation in 2006. Lorraine is a frequent author and speaker. In 1991, she was approached by AAHA to write a series of publications on business issues facing veterinarians. Today the series includes titles dealing with practice valuation; associate buy-ins; starting, buying or selling a practice; compensation issues; agreements among owners; and AAHA’s specialty/referral practice chart of accounts. Lorraine is a charter member and served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer of VetPartners for four years. She currently co-chairs the VetPartners Valuation Council.
